Mukhyamantri Kisan Sahay Yojana has been approved by the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Vijay Rupani. Through this scheme, now farmers of Gujarat will be able to get financial help on losses due to natural calamities (drought, maximum rainfall, unseasonal rainfall, etc.) in the Kharif season.

Through this scheme, financial assistance will be provided by the government if there is a loss of 33% to 60%. This financial assistance will be provided at the rate of ₹ 20000 per hectare. The benefit of this scheme will be provided up to a maximum of 4 hectares.

All small, big, and marginal farmers of Gujarat can apply under Gujarat Kisan Sahay Yojana. About 53 lakh farmers of the state will be provided the benefit of this scheme. To get the benefit of this scheme, farmers are neither required to pay any premium nor do they need to deposit any registration fee.

In case of drought: If there is a drought in any district due to which the crop has been damaged, then in this situation the Chief Minister Kisan Sahay Yojana can be claimed. The state of drought will be considered when either the district has received less than 10 inches of rain or it has not rained during the monsoon season.

In case of heavy rainfall: If there is heavy rainfall in any district due to which the crop has been damaged, then in this situation Gujarat Kisan Sahay Yojana can be claimed. Heavy rainfall will be considered when that district has received 35 inches or more of continuous rain for 48 hours.

In case of unseasonal rain: If there is unseasonal rain in any district due to which crop has been damaged, then in this situation Mukhyamantri Kisan Sahay Yojana can be claimed. The condition of unseasonal rain will be considered when more than 50 mm of rain has been read in that district for 48 hours from October 15 to November 15.

Gujarat Kisan Sahay Yojana 2021 Beneficiary List

  • Under this scheme, the list of beneficiary farmers will be prepared by the revenue department of the state government according to the following procedure.
  • Firstly, the DC (District Collector) will prepare the list of Talukas/Villages whose crops are damaged due to drought, heavy rains, or non-seasonal rainfall.
  • Then within 7 days will share the list with the revenue department.
  • In the next phase, a special survey team will review the damage to crops within 15 days.
  • After completion of the damage survey, a list of beneficiary farmers will be announced by order signed by District Development Officer.
  • The beneficiary list will be of two types, 33% to 60% and loss above 60%.

Process of preparation of beneficiary list under Mukhyamantri Gujarat Kisan Sahay Yojana 2021

  • Under the Mukhyamantri Kisan Sahay Yojana, the District Collector will prepare a list of all those people of the taluka/village whose crops have been damaged due to drought, heavy rains, or seasonal rains.
  • After this list will be shared with the Revenue Department.
  • This list should be shared with the Revenue Department within 7 days.
  • After this, a survey team will come and review the damage within 15 days.
  • After successful completion of all this process, the District Development Officer will declare the Beneficiary Farmer List signed by him.
