Rajiv Gandhi Farmer Justice Yojana 2020;-In the state budget presented by the Chhattisgarh government on 2020-21, a provision of Rs 5,700 crore was made to provide relief to the farmers through which Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana 2020 (Chhattisgarh Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana) was launched in the state.
Under this government scheme, farmers will be given an investment of Rs. 10,000 in installments per acre of paddy and maize crops. The Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana (CG Mukhyamantri Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana) will also help the central government’s dream of doubling farmers’ income by 2022.

Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyaya Yojana – Kisan Nyan Yojana Chhattisgarh
About 70 percent of the population in the state of Chhattisgarh is dependent on agriculture. As most of the area of the state is rainfed, due to seasonal adversity and increase in agricultural input costs, uncertainty in agricultural income and debt sufficiency persists, consequently, the inputs required for agricultural crop production like improved seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, mechanization, and new agricultural technologies Can not invest enough in “Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyaya Yojana” has been implemented by the state government for agricultural input assistance to provide adequate investment in agriculture and relief in installment costs.
The Kharif season paddy, maize, soybean, groundnut, sesame, pigeon pea, moong, urad, kulthi, dramatic, Kodo, kutki, and rabi sugarcane crops have been included under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana.
Objective of Kisan Nyaya Yojana
- The main objective of Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana is to encourage farmers for crop production in the state.

The Chhattisgarh government has deposited 2 installments under the Kisan Nyaya Yojana in the accounts of the beneficiary farmers of the state. The first installment has been submitted on 21 May 2020 and the second installment on 20 August 2020.

How to register/apply for the scheme
All categories of farmers planting crops under the scheme will have to fill the information in the application form, register it with the necessary records, and declaration form within the stipulated time frame. The land and crop area mentioned in the application will have to be registered in the cooperative society after verification with the field staff of the Agriculture / Revenue Department.
Only those farmers who get their registration under the scheme within the prescribed time limit will get the benefit of the scheme. The time limit fixed by the state government for registration under Kisan Nyaya Yojana is as follows.
- For Kharif crops: 1 June to 30 September (for Kharif 2020)
- For Sugarcane Crop Growers: Every year till 30 September
Farmers growing sugarcane are required to get their registration done by September 30 every year in the cooperative sugar factory or departmental portal in their notified area.
The area registered by the Rural Agricultural Extension Officer and Patwari will be verified by Girdawari. In case of a discrepancy in the registered acreage, the input amount will be paid by assessing the actual acreage sown by the farmer. The provisions of the Agricultural Land Ceiling Act should be taken into consideration while determining eligibility under the scheme.
The farmers who do not have an Aadhaar number will be registered for the scheme by taking action to register Aadhaar of such farmers.
Chhattisgarh Kisan Nyay Yojana – Payment of Input
For the crops covered under the Kisan Nyay Yojana, the input amount will be paid through DBT in the farmers’ account in installments at the rate of per acre. If the paddy crop was planted by the beneficiary farmer last year and replaces the paddy with other crops included in the scheme this year, then in that case the farmers will be provided additional input support per acre.
The amount of foreign aid to be provided under the scheme will be determined annually by the cabinet committee. If there is an error in the bank account details of the farmers, then the Agriculture Deputy Director will get the bank details again from the concerned farmers within 15 days, correcting the error in the portal and ensuring the transfer of funds.

On November 2, 2020, the Chhattisgarh government has paid the third installment under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana.
